Join Rising Appalachia for a Permaculture Action Day in Denver this Saturday, May 21st starting at 11am.  Converge at Seeds of Power Unity Farm – 3551 Humboldt Street – for a day of planting, building, learning, music, food and community.

We have irrigation to lay and farm rows to build to turn this once empty lot into a productive farm that will supply greens and produce for the MoBetta Greens Farmers’ Market.  Fatuma Emmad of Sister Gardens and Nick Gruber of Moondog Farms will be joining us at Seeds of Power in the morning and bringing folks out to the satellite planting sites when we hit critical mass.

Music will play throughout the day, including from Rising Appalachia’s Biko Casini and Arouna Diarra – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nGUDV3twWg – and other local performers and special surprises.  Join in on the workshops and skill-shares, and enjoy the delicious food as we rise above the concrete and grow food for our Denver community right here in the city.

Please bring any and all tools you can! Shovels, wheel barrows, turning forks, rakes, trowels, pick axes and more! And bring a waterbottle, gloves, dish/utensils/mug, and something to add to the potluck if you wish : )
