DESCRIPTION:Join Rising Appalachia for a Permaculture Action Day in Denver this Saturday\, May 21st starting at 11am.  Converge at Seeds of Power Unity Farm – 3551 Humboldt Street – for a day of planting\, building\, learning\, music\, food and community. \nJoin the event page here – https://www.facebook.com/events/1740911666188419/ – for the latest happenings and follow @PermaAction and #PermacultureAction on Twitter for live updates the day of.  The Permaculture Action Day precedes Rising Appalachia’s big show with Elephant Revival and Josh Ritter the next day at Red Rocks on Sunday evening. \nWe have irrigation to lay and farm rows to build to turn this once empty lot into a productive farm that will supply greens and produce for the MoBetta Greens Farmers’ Market.  Fatuma Emmad of Sister Gardens and Nick Gruber of Moondog Farms will be joining us at Seeds of Power in the morning and bringing folks out to the satellite planting sites when we hit critical mass. \nWe also have a late afternoon and evening gathering space in the works\, so join us early at Seeds of Power or stay tuned to the event page for more info. \nMusic will play throughout the day\, including from Rising Appalachia’s Biko Casini and Arouna Diarra – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nGUDV3twWg – and other local performers and special surprises.  Join in on the workshops and skill-shares\, and enjoy the delicious food as we rise above the concrete and grow food for our Denver community right here in the city. \nPlease bring any and all tools you can! Shovels\, wheel barrows\, turning forks\, rakes\, trowels\, pick axes and more!
