DESCRIPTION:BORN BOTANICAL\nPermaculture Action Day\nwith Bassnectar and Michael Franti \nat Frontline Farming’s new 2-acre site\nMajestic View Farm\nPark at the church\n7080 Independence St.\, \nArvada\, CO 80004 \nSaturday\, June 8\, 2019\n10am-5pm\nFollowing Bassnectar Freestyle Sessions night 1 at 1STBANK CENTER; and Michael Franti & Spearhead at Red Rocks\n~\nwe’re gathering the day after these concerts to take action together. \n \nFrontline Farming operates a multi-plot farm sustainably growing organic\, nutrient-rich food for people of all income levels in the Denver area. \nThe organization engages its communities by educating youth and neighbors on growing food and promoting healthy\, active lifestyles\, beautifying Denver neighborhoods with edible landscapes\, and reducing the distance from farm to plate. \nFrontline Farming has just gained access to a 2-acre farm within the Majestic View Nature Center. This is where we’ll show up in right relationship the day after the show to support the local organizers in transforming the land into a productive peri-urban farm. \nRead about Majestic View Farm and Frontline Farming at the link. \nTogether with Be Interactive \nwe will gather for a day of community action building raised beds\, transplanting seedlings and starts\, laying irrigation for the farm\, and installing a number of other regenerative farming systems. \nWorkshops  ● Music ● Food \nYouth Activities ● Art ● Community Building \n*This is NOT a Bassnectar or Michael Franti performance.\nThis IS a day of hands-on projects\, urban farming\, workshops\, music\, community-building\, and regenerative action following the Friday night shows at other locations. \nHANDS-ON PROJECTS \n\nInstalling drip irrigation\nInstalling a compost system\nDigging farm beds for veggies\nBuilding a produce wash station\nBrewing and applying compost tea\nPlanting fruit trees and other plants\nPainting educational signage for the farm\nTransplanting tomatoes\, peppers\, and other seedlings\nShaping earthworks to redirect rainwater for irrigation\n\nWorkshops \nDynamics of Privilege\, Oppression and Liberation in the Food Movement with Michelle and Ramon Gabrieloff-Parish \nSpeaking to Seeds for the Next Seven Generations with Shannon Francis \nThe Rebel and the Bull: Astrological Timing and Scaling of the Food Movement with Ramon Gabrieloff-Parish \nBuild Your Own Dreams: Regenerative Life Design w/ Mike Wird \nYoga with the Satya Yoga Cooperative at 9am \n\nWild Plant Romp: an Edible & Medicinal Herb Walk w/ Manda Pendleton \nMusic \n\n\nFelixFast4Ward \nDigital Vagabond & Lostinsound Residents \nSky Society \nMike Wird \nTWANZ \n\n\nFood and Beverages:\nWe will be sharing a mostly or completely organic\, nutrient-rich meal in the middle of the day. There will be vegetarian and vegan options. Bring your own dishware if you like. Also please feel free to bring potluck items to share\, but do not let that stop you from coming! There will be potable water on site (bring a refillable water bottle) as well as other snacks and beverages. \n\nWhat to Bring:\nClose-toed shoes. Gloves. Clothing to get dirty in. Humility. Love.
