SUMMARY:Permaculture Action Day at Clear Creek Community Food Forest
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a day full of live music\, hands-on projects\, workshops\, skillshares and delicious local food! \n\n\n \n\n\nWe will be working/playing in a four year old food forest — bring tools\, bring a food dish\, come learn about the system\, plant/eat some food and meet new people. \n\n\n \n\n\n“We see this food forest as a pragmatic model that serves as a community learning/experimenting area while providing food\, medicine and Abundance. This space is a working model for how other low-maintenance\, long-visioning systems similar in nature could be communally designed and implemented. We see this space as a sanctuary for humans and wildlife. As we continue to work in this space\, we develop relationships with the native plants\, people and climate\, creating a sense of home place. This is an open community space where we share labor\, experiences and skills together which leads to resilience. Additionally\, this land serves as a propagation resource for the community\, where herbs\, seeds and cultivars of trees can be propagated for future food-focused projects. This project serves as a community resource for food\, medicine\, spiritual growth\, community involvement\, learning\, sharing of skills and access to land in an economically impoverished region. \n\n\n– Written in 2015 as part of the design process –\n\n\n \n\n\n \n\n\nProjects\, workshops/skillshares and music TBD\n\n\nRolling potluck lunch starting at 1pm\n\n\n \n\n\nThis Permaculture Action Day is in partnership with Burners Without Borders and is made possible\, in part\, by a Southeastern Leadership Civic Ignition Grant.\n\n\n \n\n\nEveryone is welcome to this free\, family-friendly event.\n\n\nClick ‘going\,’ share event and invite your friends on our FACEBOOK EVENT PAGE: https://www.facebook.com/events/2071772749789931/
