DESCRIPTION:Join us in Nashville (snow or shine!) for the penultimate Permaculture Action Day on the Solidarity Tour w/ Rising Appalachia!!\nSunday\, December 9th 10am-5pm before the Rising Appalachia show that evening at Mercy Lounge \nBrooklyn Heights Community Garden is located at 1831 Haynes Street\, Nashville\, TN 37207 \nWe’re delighted to be working again in community with Ms. Pearl at Brooklyn Heights Community Garden on several projects including: \n\nthe builds of several sheds into tiny homes\nbuilding new raised beds\nmaintaining trees planted two years ago\nbuilding a fire pit\nand much more.\n\nA full day of community networking\, projects\, workshops\, skill-shares\, a meal for the people prepared by the people and live music! \nThis is a free\, family-friendly event. The mission of the garden is to bring awareness to the need for growing healthy food and living healthier lives. It is a civic space where people share labor\, nourish relationships\, and connect to our shared natural environment. BHCG fuels\, heals and provides aesthetic pleasure to the neighborhood\, many of whom are elderly and on fixed incomes. BHCG provides these elders\, important people in the community\, healthy fruit\, vegetables and herbs grown locally on-site.
