SUMMARY:A day of action at a local indigenous community site building a community kitchen and restoring stream and forest ecosystems.
DESCRIPTION:Music * Food * Hands-on Projects * Workshops * Taking Action\n\nLogistics:\nAddress: 7102 CR 620 Gardner\, CO 81040. \nJoin Sonic Bloom and the Permaculture Action Network at the Aztlan Cultural Center both Wednesday and Thursday this year before the festival kicks off on Thursday evening for action days.\n\nJune 14th and 15th we’re inviting all attendees of Sonic Bloom\, alongside the general public\, to come to Aztlan Cultural Center in Gardner\, Colorado starting at 11am Wednesday\, June 14th. We know it’s been a challenge in past years to have the action day on Thursday while festival gates are opening\, so this year we’re welcoming people to come Wednesday and to stay overnight.\n\nAction Day participants will be welcome to stay overnight in your own camping setup at Aztlan Cultural Center and join for evening sweat lodge ceremony after Wednesday’s day of action\, and either continue working with us on the land at Aztlan Thursday\, or head to the Sonic Bloom site as early as 10am for early entry alongside VAP package holders.\n\nMany of us will continue to work with the land and the community on Thursday morning and early afternoon\, and any of those who arrived Wednesday and slept over after sweat lodge are welcome to continue with working and building with us\, as well as anyone who is able to only arrive Thursday morning and stay for the day.\n\nBy 4pm Thursday\, June 15th\, we will all have moved over to Sonic Bloom for the festival and to hold space in the workshop hub.\n\nAction Day:\nAztlan Cultural Center is located 40 minutes drive from Hummingbird Ranch and is one of Sonic Bloom’s closest community project neighbors. The center hosts weekly ceremonies and an annual Sun Dance on indigenous held land while welcoming all people to its free ceremonies.\n\nAs we dance and connect in our own special way\, we invite you to stand in solidarity with our indigenous neighbors who are holding their own connection to the land\, spirit\, and each other.\n\nLast year\, we rebuilt the ceremonial arbor used for Sun Dance\, trimmed trees and cut firewood for ceremony – aiding the forest ecosystem adjacent the stream\, and worked on the gardens. We brewed and sprayed compost tea\, and took all festival food scraps to build compost piles.\n\nThis year\, we will be rebuilding parts of the community kitchen that supports the ceremonies\, continuing our tree work and work with the stream-adjacent forest ecosystem\, and looking at installing a new water catchment tank and pumping system\, alongside other ecological projects.\n\nMusic:\nWe’re always joined by a sound system\, DJ’s and performing artists to accompany the day’s projects. Working alongside friends to build\, plant\, and grow while DJs play to the atmosphere. It’s a beautiful experience and we’re excited for you to join. We’ve had some headlining artists play in the past and you never know who might show up to accompany a day of action with song and rhythm. If you want to play\, get in touch with us. We welcome it!\n\nFood:\nWe’ll have community meals to share with folks throughout the event. However\, it will be greatly supportive if you can bring something to share. Potluck style with us baselining some meals will make sure everyone’s fed and nourished. Bringing water and hydrating drinks\, fruit\, and snacks is encouraged and appreciated.\n\nWhat To Bring:\nIn addition to some food and water if you want to contribute to potluck style meals and offerings\, bring tools if you can – basic construction tools; close-toed shoes\, a water bottle to stay hydrated\, and\, if you’re camping overnight\, your tent\, headlamp\, and other camping gear. This is a rural site so come prepared.

(There’s a patch of ground as you come off the 69 that is a great place to park and carpool into the action day site if you want to squad up.) \nWhen you see a cemetery\, stay left. Keep straight (do not turn when you see the CR 623 sign at the triangle. You’re continuing forward there and to the right of the triangle.)\nLess than a quarter mile past the cemetery you will see a gate; turn left through the Lazy S Ranch signed gate. \nGo past the Lazy S Ranch\, passing with it on your right until you see a church on your left. Shortly after the church you will see a red truck. Make that next right – you will see action day signs with arrows from there.

SUMMARY:Permaculture Action Day at Clear Creek Community Food Forest
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a day full of live music\, hands-on projects\, workshops\, skillshares and delicious local food! \n\n\n \n\n\nWe will be working/playing in a four year old food forest — bring tools\, bring a food dish\, come learn about the system\, plant/eat some food and meet new people. \n\n\n \n\n\n“We see this food forest as a pragmatic model that serves as a community learning/experimenting area while providing food\, medicine and Abundance. This space is a working model for how other low-maintenance\, long-visioning systems similar in nature could be communally designed and implemented. We see this space as a sanctuary for humans and wildlife. As we continue to work in this space\, we develop relationships with the native plants\, people and climate\, creating a sense of home place. This is an open community space where we share labor\, experiences and skills together which leads to resilience. Additionally\, this land serves as a propagation resource for the community\, where herbs\, seeds and cultivars of trees can be propagated for future food-focused projects. This project serves as a community resource for food\, medicine\, spiritual growth\, community involvement\, learning\, sharing of skills and access to land in an economically impoverished region. \n\n\n– Written in 2015 as part of the design process –\n\n\n \n\n\n \n\n\nProjects\, workshops/skillshares and music TBD\n\n\nRolling potluck lunch starting at 1pm\n\n\n \n\n\nThis Permaculture Action Day is in partnership with Burners Without Borders and is made possible\, in part\, by a Southeastern Leadership Civic Ignition Grant.\n\n\n \n\n\nEveryone is welcome to this free\, family-friendly event.\n\n\nClick ‘going\,’ share event and invite your friends on our FACEBOOK EVENT PAGE: https://www.facebook.com/events/2071772749789931/

Joana\, Leah\, and Michael all organize with the Mid-Appalachian BioRegional Crew and are located in the Berea\, Kentucky area. Ryan organizes with the California BioRegional Crew of Permaculture Action Network and founded the organization in 2014.  \n\n\nRyan Rising is a community organizer and permaculture educator based out of the San Francisco Bay Area\, and co-founder of the Permaculture Action Network. After a decade of local organizing around direct action\, food justice\, ecological design\, and community living\, Ryan organized the Permaculture Action Tour with music producer The Polish Ambassador in the fall of 2014. Ryan has since co-organized over 80 Permaculture Action Days throughout 25 US states\, bringing hundreds of people at a time to build greenhouses\, rainwater catchment\, gardens\, and regenerative systems at 80 different local community projects including public food forests\, urban farms\, and ecovillages. Ryan co-founded the Gill Tract Community Farm\, which produces tons of organic food annually distributed for free all around the Bay Area\, and the Omni Commons\, an urban commons and community center. Ryan focuses on creating community access to land for local food growing and regenerative living\, connecting people to take direct action; and social permaculture—the ways we make decisions\, build resilience\, resolve conflicts\, and organize in community. \n  \n\n\nMichael Beck joins Permaculture Action Network as a steward of land in Kentucky\, natural builder\, aspiring young farmer\, and nature enthusiast. He is currently building an Appalachian-style log cabin with his partner and friend in Disputanta\, Kentucky. She is the co-founder of Hands On Earth Permaculture\, focusing on natural building and food forestry. She is also a visual artist\, natural builder\, herbalist\, gardener\, chef\, and acrobat. Joana took her Permaculture Design Course in Portugal with Doug Crouch of TreeYo Permaculture in 2012\, a Social Permaculture Course in 2013\, and a Permaculture Teachers Training with Robina Mccurdy in 2014. This is a free\, family-friendly event filled with ecologically regenerative hands-on projects\, workshops & skill-shares\, music\, and a community meal. This is the sister event to this past April’s Lead to Life series in Atlanta\, Georgia\, where 50 guns were melted down into 50 shovels to plant 50 trees in honor of the 50 years since MLK’s assassination. We will use these shovels again this January 20th\, 2019\, to plant trees\, install regenerative systems\, and build ceremonial space. \nThe following day\, Monday\, January 21st\, we ground this same process in Oakland where we will melt guns into shovels after the People’s March to Reclaim the Radical Legacy of Martin Luther King Jr.\n \nSogorea Te’ is an urban\, indigenous women-led organization that facilitates the return of Chochenyo and Karkin Ohlone land in the San Francisco Bay Area to indigenous stewardship. The Sogorea Te’ Land Trust site at Planting Justice’s East Oakland Nursery is the first piece of land put into the community land trust\, and will be the site of the first ceremonial arbor built on Ohlone Land in 250 years. \nPlanting Justice facilitates permaculture designs and installations for homes around the Bay Area and regenerative educational programs\, hires formerly incarcerated folks at a family-supporting wage\, and now runs the largest organic fruit\, nut\, and berry nursery in California right out of a two-acre site in East Oakland. \nLead to Life is transforming weapons into shovels for tree planting ceremonies at sites that have been impacted by violence or carry spiritual significance. These guns\, donated from the public and collected from police departments\, are transformed by metalsmiths into shovels and tools that plant trees to memorialize loved ones\, and lands\, lost to violence. \nThis is Permaculture Action Network’s 92nd action day in which communities brought together through a cultural event are invited to direct their energy into hands-on projects that improve regenerative common spaces and bring forward a just and regenerative world. \nFor this occasion\, our partners RAWtools & James Brenner have forged a reimagined arsenal of garden tools made from weapons. Folks from across the East Bay are coming together to use these ceremonial tools towards two revolutionary land regeneration projects on 105th Ave in East Oakland. \nThis day will be an act of beloved community and grassroots liberation as part of Oakland’s annual weekend to reclaim the radical legacy of Martin Luther King Jr.. To honor the vision of Dr. King\, the work of people across Oakland\, the significance of the Jewish tradition of Tu Bishvat\, and the indigenous stewardship of these lands\, we will work with our hands in the soil to decompose colonialism. We will live into a practice of land reparations\, through supporting the return of Ohlone ancestral homelands. \n \n  \n  \nThis event is free and open to all! \nBring your friends and come prepared to learn new skills\, build food-producing systems\, and have a dirty\, good time!! \nRSVP:  Register here – https://www.eventbrite.com/e/lead-to-life-reclaim-radical-king-weekend-tickets-54007880023 – to receive up-to-date information on the event location and logistics. \nMore Info: \nThis ceremony is part of Lead to Life’s Time for Healing Justice taking place January – April 2019. Click here for information and registration for our other events including our Gun-To-Shovels ceremony and upcoming April Tree Planting Ceremonies. \n  \n  \n

SUMMARY:Permaculture Action Hub @ Sonic Bloom Festival
DESCRIPTION:Find the Permaculture Action Hub at Sonic Bloom Festival for three days of workshops\, skill-shares\, and discussions on regenerating ecological systems\, community organizing\, and building a more just and sustainable world. \n \nWorkshop Descriptions (Partial)\nLogistics of Liberation: Permaculture and Power w/ Ryan Rising\n \nWhat is it really going to take to liberate ourselves from the exploitative\, extractive systems we are living within? How can we re-inhabit space\, and see that re-inhabiting of space as one of the most revolutionary acts we can take? How can we interact with the material infrastructure of our world to collectively slow and stop the mechanisms of ecological devastation and human harm? Power is logistic. \nSocial Permaculture and Community Action w/ Ryan Rising \n \nHow can the lens of permaculture—the mimicking of nature’s patterns and principles—inform the way we design both the ecological systems of food\, water\, and shelter that give us life\, and the social systems of how we make decisions\, come together as people\, and build resilient communities? How can we take effective action to create viable life-affirming alternatives to the extractive and exploitative systems that we seek to replace? Ryan Rising of the Permaculture Action Network will start this session with an introduction to permaculture design and lead into a conversation that takes its application beyond forest gardens\, rainwater catchment systems\, and natural building to how we can cultivate effective collaborative groups and communities capable of taking action towards realizing a more just and regenerative world. Ryan will also touch on the work of the Permaculture Action Network over the last four years of organizing over 84 Permaculture Action Days across the country after concerts and before music festivals where hundreds gather to directly implement regenerative systems in their communities. SUMMARY:Permaculture Action Hub Schedule @ Summer Camp Music Festival 2018
DESCRIPTION:  \nAll events at location: @ SOULPATCH in the Permaculture Action Hub \nThursday\, May 24\n4:15 PM – 5:45 PM\nDocumentary Screening of Inhabit: A Permaculture Perspective\nInhabit explores the many environmental issues facing us today and examines solutions that are being applied using the ecological design process called ‘Permaculture’. Permaculture is a design lens that uses the principles found in ecosystems to help shift our impact from destructive to regenerative. Focused mostly on the Northeastern and Midwestern regions of the United States\, Inhabit provides an intimate look at permaculture peoples and practices ranging from rural\, suburban\, and urban landscapes. \nFriday\, May 25\n10:00 AM – 11:00 AM\nPlant Propagation: How to Make Plant Babies w/ Joana Amorim\nJoin us in the SOULPATCH gardens for a hands-on workshop to propagate plants by cutting and grow new plants from seed. We’ll make seedlings and little plant starts from the mother plants here in the garden that will then live at the nearby Seven Circles Heritage Center\, a local Native American community space and the site of our annual Summer Camp Permaculture Action Day. \nFriday\, May 25\n11:15 AM – 12:15 PM\nYoga for Anatomical Empowerment w/ Leah Van Winkle\nIn this workshop\, I offer a guided yoga practice as a framework for coming to deeply understand one’s body. Specifically\, the class focuses on really feeling into what your body needs\, and what to do with that information. All of this placed within a context of learning to use our bodies well no matter what situation we find ourselves in\, particularly to learn proper body mechanics in manual labor contexts. I seek to share proper movement patterns\, informed by your own experience of your body\, for moving safely and effectively through this world! \nFriday\, May 25\n12:30 PM – 1:30 PM\nEmpowered to Organize for Change w/ Noor Us-Sabah\nThere’s more to community change than politicians and voting. How can we use our own unique set of skills for the movement and not get burnt out? Join Noor for a workshop and discussion about strategies to self-organize and collaborate with others to serve your local community. From public art to redistributing the heady ground-score you don’t really need\, we’ll be looking at diverse examples of successful and inclusive D.I.Y. community organizing. \nFriday\, May 25\n1:45 PM – 2:45 PM\nAttracting Pollinators & Beneficial Insects to Your Garden w/ Chris Enroth\nEnlist some natural predators in your fight to save your garden. After attending this program\, participants will have fundamental knowledge to identify which insects can help them control pest populations and how to attract the good guys to your garden. Get hands-on and make some seedballs with native wildflower seeds to grow pollinator attractors everywhere! \nFriday\, May 25\n3:00 PM – 4:00 PM\nSOULPATCH Natural Building Systems w/ Michael Beck\nThis workshop is an interactive walk through of the natural-built structures of SOULPATCH. From cob ovens to willow benders\, thatch roofs to wattle and daub\, we will be learning together some valuable techniques for building with natural materials. \nFriday\, May 25\n4:15 PM – 5:15 PM\nIntro to Herbalism and Medicine Making w/ Nicole Klinge\nNicole has been a practicing plant healer for over 10 years. After attending an extensive clinical herbalism program she has been educating others on the profound healing that plants can bring. Part of this work is finding the jewels in local weeds\, endangered plant conservation\, and reconnecting the the spirit of nature. Her mission is to connect people back to the earth through plant healing. \nFriday\, May 25\n4:15 PM – 5:15 PM\nUrban Permaculture: Whole Systems & Viable Farms w/ Keith Morris\nThink you need a ‘farm’ to grow food? Think again! When it comes to ecological health and food production in today’s cities\, there’s very little we might want to “sustain”. As urban populations continue to grow worldwide amidst the convergent crises of energy depletion\, climate change\, and economic ‘uncertainty\,’ it’s critical we redesign our cities to provide for more of their residents’ needs. This workshop focuses on practical skills usable by urban communities to achieve greater local access to and control over life’s essential resources. The workshop will introduce simple and affordable techniques for soil building\, bioremediation\, rainwater harvesting\, intensive food production\, micro-livestock and aquaculture\, small scale autonomous energy production\, DIY air purification\, and other infrastructure retrofits. We’ll look to existing urban farms\, “urban homesteads\,” and other examples of urban permaculture to explore the ways we can design and establish our homes and communities as ‘human ecosystems’ that are not only less fuel reliant\, but also beautiful\, productive\, ecologically regenerative\, and wholly nourishing. \nSaturday\, May 26\n10:00 AM – 11:00 AM\nGrow Your Own Gourmet Mushrooms w/ Jason Alberts\nLearn how to use simple low tech methods to grow your own gourmet mushrooms! Jason will be able to get you set up to grow at home in an hour with common and available materials as well as resources to take your growing to the next level! \nSaturday\, May 26\n11:15 AM – 12:15 PM\nUrban Residential Landscaping for the Sustainable Home w/ Parker Ameel\nToday\, 80% of the population in the United States live in Urban Environments. Let’s learn how to make the best of ours. This course is intended to give you the DIY confidence to turn your urban environment into a sustainable\, native\, and edible landscape. The course will cover topics including: Water Management\, Waste Management and Food Production while simultaneously considering Budget\, Space\, and Scalability. \nSaturday\, May 26\n12:30 PM – 1:30 PM\n#HustleBetter: Making the Most Out of Nothing w/ Eliot Snaith\nLet’s have a different conversation about economy – one where we can go beyond surviving to thriving. From paradigm shifts to practical business model development worksheets! This workshop has something for everyone: from landowners to the unemployed\, and everything in between and beyond. Eliot Snaith is a Social Permaculture Nerd: mixing social science and humor to help folks design healthier\, happier social ecosystems. \nSaturday\, May 26\n1:45 PM – 2:45PM\nRegenerative Economics & Local Solutions for the Great Lakes BioRegion w/ Rowan Green\nHear a solutions-oriented perspective on issues facing the Great Lakes BioRegion from a community organizer who has transformed problems around policy agenda\, development projects\, and existing infrastructure into an opportunity for environmental sustainability\, social equity\, and affluence for all. A discussion on moving forward together will follow. \nSaturday\, May 26\n3:00 PM – 4:00 PM\nLogistics of Liberation: Permaculture & Power w/ Ryan Rising\nWhat are logistics in the context of the extractive economy? How do materials flow through the industrial economic system? How can we reinhabit space and create autonomous communities worth living in? What does a just transition to a regenerative world look like? How can we get there? Come explore these questions in a poignant talk that gets to the heart of the matter. \nSaturday\, May 26\n4:15 PM – 5:15 PM\nRe-Imagining Healthcare w/ Sam Jackson\nCome join a collaborative and participatory discussion on re-defining\, re-imagining\, re-forming\, and re-creating a vision of Health Care. Bring your experience to the table and join others as we talk about what is real for us with the guidance of medical professional. \nSaturday\, May 26\n5:30 PM – 6:30 PM\nOrganizing with Purpose: Direct Action Crash Course w/ Kristoff\nHistory tells us that social and political change doesn’t come easy\, and no significant social movement has succeeded without direct action\, which is a fancy way of saying “breaking the law”. This workshop will examine the premise that extralegal (not fully legal) actions are a necessary component of permaculture and social justice frameworks\, and will examine some of the challenges in incorporating this kind of strategy into our work as change-makers. \nSunday\, May 27\n10:00 AM – 11:00 AM\nInteractive Intro to Beekeeping (See an Observation Hive!) w/ Tim Benedict & Sarah Wells\nCome join two perspectives\, both technical and sensitive\, to overview the basics of beekeeping. Explore the relationship of bees\, flowers\, pollination and honey production while diving into more nuance regarding hive health\, the state of bees and exciting research in our efforts to help rebalance one of nature’s most intimate processes. \nSunday\, May 27\n11:15 AM – 12:15 PM\nApplied Permaculture: 30 Acres in 5 Years w/ Kammer Moss\nKammer Moss is a certified permaculture designer and has been implementing learnings with his family’s 30-acre\, diverse system. The speed of their development and extensions into market gardens\, nurserying\, mushroom production\, micro greens business\, earthworks and terracing\, energy systems\, and more at scale have informed this conversation about how to get going with your big permaculture dreams. \nSunday\, May 27\n12:30 PM – 1:30 PM\nThe Role of Mushrooms in the Ecosystem & Intro to Mycoremediation w/ Tess Burzynski\nA biological primer for all things fungi — overview of the spore to fruit life-cycle\, food sources\, ecological relationships\, mycelium and a deeper dive into the promise of mycoremediation and its many solutions. Tess Burzynski is the founder\, head educator and cultivator at Fungi Freights Urban Farm and Environmental Studio. She works as an Environmental Project Manager and continues doing research with Mycoremediation in the city of Detroit. Throughout her studies she has learned the impact mycelium plays in the environment and how beneficial\, tenacious and magical it truly is. Through Fungi Freights\, her goal is to reunite mushrooms and (wo)mankind by educating Detroit and its surrounding neighbors about the benefits mushrooms have on health\, food scarcity and the environment. \nSunday\, May 27\n1:45 PM – 2:45 PM\nHow To Start an Eco-Community: Ground Up\, Scale Up\, or Transforming in Place w/ Christian Smith\nGet a good grounding in practical strategies and necessary steps to form your own ecological community. Whether you’re starting from bare land\, scaling up on a homestead\, or transitioning in place in rural\, suburban or city environments. Subjects: Food\, Water\, Energy\, Housing\, Financing and Government. \nSunday\, May 27\n3:00 PM – 4:00 PM\nSocial Permaculture: Applying Ecological Principles to Communities & Relationships w/ Ryan Rising\nHow can the lens of permaculture – the mimicking of nature’s patterns and principles – inform the way we design both the ecological systems of food\, water\, and shelter that give us life\, and the social systems of how we make decisions\, come together as people\, and build resilient communities? How can we take effective action to create viable life-affirming alternatives to the extractive and exploitative systems that we seek to replace. \nSunday\, May 27\n4:15 PM – 5:15 PM\nRust Belt Restoration: Vacant Lots to Garden Plots w/ Carrie Lierl\nCome\, join urban permaculture practitioner\, Carrie Lierl\, for an optimistic discussion about the practical potential for community-led urban agriculture and permaculture projects! With an emphasis on the specific skill sets\, tools\, and foundational knowledge you may need to both successfully self-start and self-maintain your own urban agriculture or permaculture project\, Carrie will discuss some best practices and lessons learned from the shared experiences of herself and other urban permaculture practitioners who have set out to restore urban landscapes in the name of promoting sustainable food production\, ecological health\, and community solidarity. Some other central themes of this discussion will include: making things work within the system (while simultaneously working to change it!)\, generating value from waste materials\, and tapping into the productive potential of both micro-climates and social anomalies. \nSunday\, May 27\n5:30 PM – 6:30 PM\nDecolonizing Agriculture & Participatory Ecology w/ Keith Morris\nPermaculture is an evolving and expanding design system used to create agriculturally productive human habitat at scales varying from balconies to broad regions. As permaculture rapidly expands around the world\, the field is constantly evolving and taking new directions. We’ll discuss the history of permaculture and ecological design as we look to the sciences of ecology\, anthropology\, and evolution for inspiration and guidance to establish our homes\, gardens\, and communities as ‘human ecosystems’ that are beautiful\, productive\, ecologically regenerative\, less fuel reliant\, and more wholly nourishing. What is the potential for human beings as ‘Keystone Species’? How have we acted as such through history? We’ll explore the ways human beings have ‘co-created’ ecological communities in the past\, at present\, and our potential to do so more insightfully in the future. \n

SUMMARY:Social Permaculture & Community Building Weekend || WORKSHOP
DESCRIPTION:Social Permaculture & Community Building \nWeekend Workshop at Sivananda Ashram Yoga Farm \nFriday\, January 12 – Sunday\, January 14\, 2018\nTaught by Ryan Rising\, Swami Jnaneswariananda\, Colin Eldridge (Krishna Das)\nAs part of Sivananda Ashram Yoga Farm’s series of monthly permaculture weekends\, Ryan Rising of Permaculture Action Network will be teaching sessions on social permaculture and community building alongside meditation\, yoga\, and further workshops taught by Swami Jnaneswariananda and Colin Eldridge (Krishna Das). \nPermaculture lays out a path for how we can approach our world under the current socio-political and economic climate to re-integrate ourselves into the ecological web of life and cultivate relationships of mutual aid and reciprocity with one another.  Sometimes the most direct way to challenge and alter the dominant systems that shape our lives is to directly approach how we create what we need and how we take care of one another. \nThis workshop will look beyond the ways we grow our food\, access water\, build shelter\, and tend to ecology to see how permaculture can also guide us in relating with one another and building community as we reclaim our lives and translate personal healing into collective healing.   \nWe’ll start with an introduction to permaculture design methods for reweaving ourselves into the natural world symbiotically\, and move toward applying the principles of permaculture communities\, relationships\, and the social realm. We’ll explore how we make decisions together as well as methods for conflict resolution and restorative justice. We’ll also look at alternative economies\, placemaking\, and collaborative group dynamics for liberatory communities. \nRead more and register here. \nSchedule\nFriday \nFriday Afternoon: Registration and Arrival\n6:00pm Dinner\n7:00pm Orientation welcome\n8:00pm Satsang: guided silent meditation\, chanting and lecture \nSaturday \n06:00am Morning Satsang\n08:00am Yoga class\n10:00am Brunch\n11:00am Workshop: Intro/Refresher on Permaculture Design\, Ethics\, Principles\, Framework\n12:00pm Workshop: Applying the Permaculture Principles to People & Communities\n01:00pm Break\n01:30pm Workshop: Asset Mapping Activity\n02:00pm Workshop: Alternative Economies\n02:30pm Workshop: Collaborative Group Dynamics\, Power & Decision Making\n4:00pm Yoga Class\n6:00pm Dinner\n8:00pm Evening Satsang \nSunday \n06:00am Morning Satsang\n08:00am Yoga Class\n10:00am Brunch\n11:00am Karma Yoga\n12:00pm Workshop: The Yoga of Social Permaculture \n01:00pm – 02:00pm Workshop: Building Spiritual Community \nRead more and register on Sivananda Yoga Farm’s website.  \n  \n
