DESCRIPTION:@ CRISP Farms – 1310 Lesseps Street\, New Orleans\, Louisiana 70117  \nJoin us and Rising Appalachia in the upper 9th ward for our *FIRST* Permaculture Action Day in New Orleans at CRISP Farms. \nThis day will be focusing on cobb building\, installations\, planting and listening to music together! Crisp is already a thriving garden and now wishes to be more of a space for neighbors to spend time together and create deeper relationships- true resilience. Please come and support Crisp Farms in being a beautiful\, edible resource for the 9th ward! \nProjects Include: \nCobb Oven\nBench building\nPond Installation\nBuilding with cobb workshop\nPergula Installation\nTree Planting\nMore TBA… \nWe will have live music by Biko Casini ( of Rising Appalachia) and Arouna Diarra (Burkina Faso)\, POT LUCK lunch and snacks\, and other live guest performances. \nWhat to Bring: \nComfortable cloths ( to get dirty)\nDish for POT LUCK lunch\nBottle for Water\nWork gloves/ Shoes\nInstruments (if you wish to contribute some music while we work party!) \nMore about Crisp Farms:\nCrisp Farms was established in 2013. With the help of some neighbors the once blighted property is now a thriving community garden that focuses on research into sustainable permaculture and exploring alternative growing practices for an urban environment. The farm hosts various events on its stages including the well known 9th Ward Festival.
