SUMMARY:Santa Cruz Permaculture Action Day w/ Beats Antique
DESCRIPTION:Join Beats Antique for a Permaculture Action Day at the Homeless Garden Project’s farm the Saturday after the Beats Antique @ The Catalyst Halloween show in Santa Cruz. \n\nWe’ll gather at the Homeless Garden Project Farm  on the corner of Shaffer Rd. & Delaware Ave. from 10am-2pm\, Saturday\, November 4th. Come enjoy a day of hands-on regenerative projects\, music\, shared food\, workshops\, and taking action as a community.  \nProjects will include preparing the farm for winter and seeding winter cover crops\, identifying and removing noxious weeds\, mulching and beautifying paths and garden beds\, painting educational signage for the farm\, and making adobe bricks for a chicken hutch.  \n*Schedule*\n10am: Public Welcome to Arrive!\n10:30am: Opening Circle & Orientation; History of Homeless Garden Project\n11am: Break Into Project Groups\n11:15am How Farmers & Consumers Can Act Together to Protect Native\nBiodiversity w/ Jo Ann of Wild Farm Alliance\n12pm: Lunch Spread\n12pm: Music of Blooming Anahata\n12:20pm: Music of Dan Juan\n12:45pm Wild Pollinators Workshop w/ Sean & Drew of Project Pollinate\n1pm: Music of McCoy Tyler\n2pm: Closing Dance & Clean Up Farm! \n***All Day Offerings***\nCommunity Healing Clinic w. Levity Rising\nHerbal Tea Station\nSolar Charging Station\nSanta Cruz Permaculture Table w/ David Shaw \nHomeless Garden Project’s “Products Made With Love” will be available for purchase\, including beeswax candles\, strawberry jam\, and more than 40 other products\, all made by trainees in HGP’s transitional employment program.  \nBring your friends and come prepared to learn new skills\, build food-producing systems\, and have a dirty\, good time. This event is free and all are welcome to attend! We’ll have a simple lunch spread and water/tea available for everyone throughout the day\, but please bring a potluck dish or beverage to contribute if you like! \n\nThis event is a collaboration between the Permaculture Action Network\, Homeless Garden Project\, and Beats Antique.
